Abstract

This community service program aims to transform household MSMEs in Namorambe Village, Deli Serdang Regency, into more sustainable businesses through increasing financial literacy and strengthening digital marketing strategies. The main problems faced by MSME actors are a limited understanding of financial management and the underuse of digital media in product marketing. This condition makes it difficult for MSMEs to control cash flow, determine production costs, and expand their market reach. The training activities were carried out in a participatory manner with 20 MSME actors, using direct practice methods, especially in preparing simple bookkeeping based on business needs and in using social media for promotion. Participants simulated daily transaction recording, compiled basic financial statements, and designed digital marketing content relevant to their products' characteristics. With a practical approach, participants find it easier to understand the concepts taught and apply them independently. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' capacity in financial management, the use of digital platforms, and the preparation of more targeted business plans. Although the program still has limitations in terms of duration and follow-up mentoring, this activity has had a positive impact in building a more professional business foundation. The success of this program is expected to serve as a model for other villages with similar challenges, especially in strengthening financial literacy and digital technology adoption among MSMEs.
