Desa Perlis is one of the fishing villages that heavily relies on fish catches, which are also processed into other products-however, the processing results in fish waste that is not utilized and is simply discarded. Therefore, training is needed to use fish waste or by-products into a product that can be reused through community service activities in this area. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide an understanding of how to use the abundant fish waste around them to achieve sustainable economic potential through the agricultural sector. This Community Service activity employs two methods, socialization and, training with hands-on practice in using fish waste to create liquid organic fertilizer (POC). The results of this community service activity indicate a 75% increase in the understanding of the residents of Desa Perlis in utilizing fish waste to produce POC. This is proven by the participant's ability to comprehend the process of making POC and their capability to produce it independently. In addition, this activity has raised awareness among the residents of Perlis Village about the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness and the benefits of fish waste as POC (liquid organic fertilizer). The results of this activity can serve as one of the solutions for improving the economy of the residents of Desa Perlis through increased production of crops and value-added products that can drive sustainable economic growth.Downloads
