Abstract

Every school competes to develop advertising strategies to socialize the school's profile, character, educational programs and services offered by the school. Delivery of information will also become faster along with the emergence of the latest technologies today. Giving and receiving information is not only done by talking to each other, it can also be done by reading or watching videos. Dissemination of information as a means of school promotion at Waingapu State Junior High School 1 through the methods carried out so far is still considered less than optimal because the information content is limited. For this reason, this PKM is carried out with the aim of assisting the school in updating information to the public about the situation of this school and can be used as promotional media. Submission of school profiles is realized in three forms, namely: (1) book (hardfile), (2) video (mp4), (3) infographics (banner). This community service applies a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach which is oriented towards community empowerment. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this activity are very useful for the school as a means of promotion, information and school documentation. The wider community, especially prospective students, can easily get information about Waingapu State Junior High School 1.
